My Twelve Days of Christmas - 1

One of my favourite memories of  a_mistletoe, is her  Twelve Days of Christmas vid-fest posting.   In her honour, I thought I would try my own (scaled down) version.  I have chosen this song as the first one because it was thanks to a_mistletoe that I discovered this particular Xmas album, and it has become one of my favourites.

Annie Lennox (and Eurythmics) is an old fav of my mum's so that takes me back to singing with her on car rides or while cleaning the house!

And don't worry about the tree, ours won't be up until the 16th because my Xmas-avoiding hubby decrees it so ;)

Do you get a "real" tree? We just haul our artificial one up out of the basement.

We have an artificial one too. Usually around this time we start saying wouldn't a real one be nice then decided we can't afford it/be bothered!

G and I only ever once had a real tree and it was the year we first hosted Christmas for both his family and mine. It felt like a special occasion so I took the opportunity to go the whole nine yards. Of course - everyone wanted to contribute to Christmas so my step sister actually payed for Norman (our Norman Spruce) :)

Think of all the beasties you won't be bringing into your house K! G sprayed the tree and about a thousand bugs fell to the floor! Bleurgh!!

Agree with TT, what a lovely idea.

Challenging times here too, it will be all up to the spiced orange scented candle to keep up the seasonal spirits here for now!

The good thing about Christmas is that it comes on the 25th and then it's done! Nothing wrong with scented candles. A friend just sent me a picture of the tree she wants to put up this year. It's one of those pine scented car deodorizers in the shape of a tree. Somehow, I don't think her kids will go for it. lol
