Today is one of those days where I wish I was at home, curled up underneath a fuzzy blanket and just relaxing... this is partly due to the rain/freezing rain that is outside and I went to bed late last night due to me watching the entire Golden Globes broadcast, so it was partially my fault.  I'm restless and bored and having a hard time ( Read more... )

If your recipe tells you to sautee the onions first, before adding any liquid, then once the onions are done, you can chuck in a couple of spoonfuls of flour with them and stir and cook the flour with the onions for a couple of minutes. Then when you add the liquid, do it a little at a time to start with, so you can incorporate the flour properly, without any lumps. I hope this helps.

Aha. I have a working theory that boredom is a symptom that there's something you really want to do but for whatever reason can't, so your brain scrambles looking for something to fill that void. Go home and take a nap is a tough one to fight. Good for you for sticking it out.

sometimes, it is that (really want to do something else but can't for whatever reason) - but Monday was a result of not enough sleep.
