It is beautiful, if cold. The air has been clear and cold the whole day through, the sun bright creating perfect visibility, and there's not much else one can ask for when one is tracking herds of easily spooked creatures. I trip our footing in a quick, hard movement, turning us so my own back lands hard against tree. I curve up off it, the heat between my legs meeting the length between his and I gasp, once, sharply, and pull his head down, meeting his mouth with mine open and hungry. It's been a while- a long while, come to that, and this is a very good reminder.
