Read some more Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul on the train this morning. Couldn't stop grinning at my book. I am not strange, fellow commuters; I am enjoying life, the universe and everything. People should only stare at public joy for inspiration purposes.

Oh my goodness! Haven't heard of that adaptation at all! Absolutely hunting that one down ASAP. I'm going to read the Dune series on your recommendation. :)

At least our deaths will be momentous. I'd much prefer to be killed by books than, say, an iPad. :p

OMG DIRK GENTLY. I may actually love them more than the Hitchhikers. SUCH LOVE.

Have yet to try Colfer... he's so Irish and Adams is so English, among other things, that I worry. I like Colfer's writing but his sensibility is very different from Douglas Adams.

THERE'S A HORSE ON THE STAIRS.

You are so right about those differing sensibilities! Perhaps they merge well? Perhaps Colfer has tried (accidentally hilariously) to mimic DA's style? Perhaps it is deliberately hilarious? I should really read that book.
