April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day. If you don't know what autism is then you're probably living in a little bubble and need to take a look at the link to Autism Speaks. Autism is being diagnosed to 1 in 150 children. It's huge. We don't know what causes it. These children need out support and our love and our help and so do their families.

Thank you :P Writing is my sanity. It's what rejuvenates me when i'm having a hard day. Sometimes i'll be doing something totally crazy with my kids and something will hit as a story idea and it helps me through just because I have something to look forward to write when I put them to bed. Or the hope that something awesome will be waiting for me to read.

I think it's why my big bang is really important to me because it deals with my creative side while coming up with ways of coping with my real life. I can speak directly about my good/bad day through them.

:P Thank you for taking the time to comment. *snuggles*

*huge hugs*

I posted a little something on my journal about today. I am AMAZED and PROUD as hell of the people on my flist who deal with their children who are on the Autism spectrum. I hope I don't sound condescending because I am not.

*loves you bunches*

Doesn't sound condescending at all, in fact, thank you for it! It's hard enough to be a parent without throwing in anything extra. I wouldn't trade my baby boy for the world, but there are days when I just want to stay in bed and hide for a bit and having people around who understand that (in real life or online) always makes it easier to face things.

Thank you for being one of those people, the ones who support and care and make it all seem like a brighter place! *snuggles*

Thank you :P *Snuggles*

I'm one of the lucky ones. I met a mother of twins once. Her boys both had autism. At 3 years old they were only 12 months developmentally. They couldn't even feed themselves in the slightest yet. My baby will be going to kindergarten next year in a regular class room with an aide. He's made phenomenal progress in the last year so.. yeah... lucky one :P

Thank you for the support and love! It's always appreciated and it makes it so much easier on the crappy days when everything is a fight! *Snuggles again*
