Shame, guilt and dishonor would break them if Dalen had been selfish enough to cross before their time.

I liked the the little girl had grown with Coltran as a brother too.

It would have. But it felt like they had come full circle a bit there for me, how Dalen would have stayed in the beginning but Coltran pushed him though, only to have Dalen be the strong one now :P Glad you enjoyed it! And yes, I adore his little sister. She's very much like Dalen.
