LOL! I've been on the fence about continuing this one as a verse or about taking it off my verse list and making it a regular story. I can't seem to make up my mind and I'm still working on it. It isn't forgotten though and I promise more at some point :P

But.. But... You're not gonna leave it there, right? It's not going to end on the soul-crushing, heart-wrenching note that "Alone" did, right? Cause, oh man, you have a serious talent for upsetting me so much that I feel physically ill. My emotions. They are exploded all over the place.

PLEASE tell me you'll come back to this someday. Cause I am all sorts of curious and also all sorts of heartbroken. How does this change the way Sam views hunting? Does he view it with the same resentment, or does he understand because the "demon" took his brother away? Does he still try to escape to college when he's 18? Since Dean doesn't raise Sammy here, how does that change the way he interacts with people? Does he get bitter and focused on revenge, a la Gordon Walker? How does this change the way John raises him, since he isn't actually getting revenge for losing Mary? Unless he feels he is, because the demon 'kept them apart'? CURIOUS MINDS NEED TO KNOW.

I am definitely NOT leaving this here! I ran into a roadblock on this one a while back... deciding whether to keep it as a verse, or to write a full length story with the boys and what happens. In the end, I decided to go with a full length story but I haven't had the time to come back to do it yet. It is NOT done yet though and I've been thinking of how to get this one started up again :P I promise... NOT DONE! :P
