We made the largest trip Hunter's ever been on a couple days ago, to the...

It was amazing! I'm going to break the entry up in to pieces because of the amount of photos and videos.

It was a rough night for Jason and I. I got about 40 minutes of sleep and Jason didn't get much more. At around 10:30 I got the genius idea to put a bunch of Thomas the Tank Engine videos on my ipod for Hunter to watch on the drive. Little did I know that it would take me 2.5 hours and 4 programs to get it to work. Finally crashed around 3 and tossed and turned until it was time to get up at 6. Hunter managed to get about 10 hours of sleep which was good.

Off we went and aimed for the 9 am ferry but managed to slip in as one of the last cars on the 8, putting us an hour ahead of schedule. Neat! No waiting is always a good thing.

Hunter's never been on a ferry so it was quite an excitement, especially when he found the playroom which he had entirely to himself. So he played on the cars and we played a quick game of Hide and Seek before moving elsewhere.

There were some amazing views

And not many people

He liked watching another smaller ferry go by

We explored the ferry, then sat down to play with his new Lego set for a bit.

My camera, which had gotten thrown during a rambunctious game of Hammerball a couple weeks ago, decided to quit working on the ferry ride. The lens had gotten jammed sideways, I thought I had popped it back up but it wasn't happy about opening, closing or extending the lens, making it nearly impossible to get focus and completely impossible to zoom anymore. Quite frustrating and I had to pick at it for a while to get any sort of function at all.

Then it was time to head back to the car.

Part Two: Arrival
Off we go in Vancouver. The GPS was low on battery so we tried to go with printed directions

Which weren't much help since every single road in that area looked exactly like this one, no signs or anything.

But there were a few nice sights along the way

Lo and behold, after a slight detour, we arrived!! In a nearly empty parking lot with a large cage of Big Horned Rams out front

video, trips, dada, photos
