notthecheat, I don't know how close you live to the site of today's horror, but I hope that you and all your friends and family are okay.  My thoughts also go out to all the victims of this senseless tragedy.  I wish this weren't becoming so commonplace.

It's not that close to me (about an hour away). I do know someone who lives there, although she is older as is her child. Also that is the town my best friend from when I was in third grade moved to, so I have a connection to the town. I can still barely read or hear about the events - it is just so horrific. I can't fathom what it must be like for those who where there, nearby, or lost someone they knew.
