Can anybody on this fine commune point me in the direction of a decent bar/pub thing that ISNT a sports bar, or one of those fraternity hangouts on university? Im more in the market for a nice, laid back, loungey sort of place, maybe with some jazz music, and its been quite difficult to locate a place of that calibur in this city. I`ve been recommended the Salty Dog many times as a cool bar but haven`t gone. I think it might be more of a rowdy everyone drinking beer sort of place though so you might want to check it out first before going. You probably won`t find what you`re looking for in G`ville. Having a small laid back party at your apartment may actually be a good idea. Or you could always try looking in another town...Kobe has some really good Jazz clubs...

If you`re planning on drinking a lot it probably won`t matter where you are after a while so don`t worry too much about compromising.
