I've realized that a lot of things that have happened in the past and presently has drained me of whatever self-confidence I had in my talents and abilities. Things have been incredibly busy lately. I am helping out with a fundraising event, which is happening this Friday. I am not sure what to expect but I am hoping it will be fun. A friend recently turned me onto Thomas Ligotti, a gothic horror writer in the tradition of H.P. Lovecraft, whom I have yet to really start reading, except for bits and pieces of things online. Things have been so hard lately. I just want something good to happen for once.

I can't sleep. I woke up and the video for michael Jackson's Thriller was on the tiny TV located in the roomI sleep in at my sister's, which I had been left on. I think I had an uneasy dream because it kind of scared me. It's almost fall, pretty much my favourite time of year because it means sweater weather has arrived. It also means that leaves are starting to change. This is the first September I will not be returning to school and it feels a bit strange but cool. Music tends to be an important part of how I remember things.
