So, I just defaulted on Femgen, which is suck a bummer. It was unavoidable and is small compared to the reasons why I'm defaulting, of course. Thing happening in Real Life. One sad event this past month and half was a family member dying (everyone is doing as well as can be expected, so small blessings there). The other reason is much better. It is

and my condolences for your loss :c maybe I shouldn't use the magic rainbows icon for that, but maybe it will cheer you up

I hope your certification works out! Am bummed that you aren't doing femgenficathon, but you remind me that I should start thinking more about that as well...
I tend to drop off the internets so regularly that by now I fear I have quite lost any shame I once felt at doing so. >_<;
btw, what Hinata AU are you referring to? :O

Good luck with your femgen. I'm gonna come back to my ideas, I think, when I have time. Such good quotes this year!
The reason I'm trying to be better about announcing if I'm going away from the internet was recently a college friend also past away. Many people only had updates on him through facebook towards the end, since he lived far away and was rarely up to talking. His family took it over allowing people to know when he passed away. I think what it would have been like to have just stopped hearing from him and all that internet stuff- photos and what-not- just floating out there untouched. Ah, that's sort of morbid but it made me apperciate being told if someone was abandoning (even temporarily) their things.
The Hinata AU is is right here.

Thanks. From past experience, I've noticed that these ficathons with deadlines usually don't work for me, so I'm trying to force myself into a mindset of "start thinking and writing now!"
That makes sense. True... I found out one of my high school classmates had passed away through facebook. I think you have a good point. I should probably make a habit of doing so as well.
That sounds really interesting! I feel like I read something similar in a commentfic at naruto_meme a while ago... though from reading your thoughts, you would put more emphasis on Kumo (which would be really cool!--I wish we knew more about the other villages). I like your comment about how the past forms you; the further back you change things, the less similar your idea of the character is to canon. This is not to say that you cannot have IC character development, but the difference is still there.

I know some others have played with the idea, and I'e read the one I think you've mentioned in naruto_meme. Its alwas fun to read. There are still definitely ways to have the characters still in-character (In this case,Hinata in the AU would be comparitively easy to keep IC, Think. Neji, who is formed so much by the loss of his father and subsequent hate for his family, is much harder. Also Hiashi because...well, he's still alive.)

And I'll say it again - that SasuSaku ficlet is just lovely. ♥

ESL is the only one that's different. ESL is basically a position to help students in American schools for whom English is a second language, to keep up in school and excel the best of their ablities despite any language barriers.
I am going to a school in Prague. FRom there, it will depend on where I get a job (if I get a job...I do still have my current job to come back to, if I don't get a new one...)
Glad you liked the ficlet. I still have a snippet from another prompt you gave for them, so one day there will be more for them!

It is certainly exciting that you're going abroad, though! Best of luck, and hope you enjoy yourself (as well as learn a lot). Where were you hoping to end up after the program, if it's not private?
