I wirte letters to government people

Dear Premier Campbell,

I am a car owner and former urban studies student in the GVRD. In the light of your government's commitment to the environment and to BC's long-term economic prospects, it is my suggestion that you avoid twinning the Port Mann Bridge. good on ya. I've been angry about the NDP position as well on the carbon tax, and have recently written a similar letter.

However, before you actually switch parties (!) bear in mind that the NDP is desperate for rural votes- and they are in no danger of losing east vancouver's hippie/environmentalist vote to the liberals. so it's a way of trying for a majority next election, i'd say.

I figured that had something to do with it. I voted NDP last election because I felt that their candidate was a marginally better choice than that ridiculous "Evil Genius" person. I was that impressed.

I appreciate their stand on rurual areas which are car-dependant - but I would prefer it if they would just figure out a temporary region-scalable tax to be put in full later.

Me too.

Having more energy means I've started looking out at the world around me again. I really do feel that if one desires a right to complain about the way the world is, one should do something to affect that world.

I've never been very political, but lately it looks like if I want a decent world for my future children, I'm gonna have to become so.

People have stopped denying climate change and environmental awareness, but now most are running around with their heads in their hands screaming "But what can I do?!"
