It's a setup for a heartbreak...

... but I just can't help myself. After only two episodes, and seriously against my better judgment, I feel myself getting sucked into a new fantasy-type TV series on FOX. This can only end badly.

On the plus side, the lead actor on New Amsterdam is definitely easy on the eyes. I intend to enjoy that aspect of the show as long as possible.

It's not too bad. Kind of a cool premise. . .

I haven't seen the show, but I'm guessing the downfall is FOX. Good entertainment airing on foxing has a high probability of being canceled.

Yeah, but what aekiy said about FOX canceling good shows holds true. Sure, I like House, and Bones is generally watchable, but that network does not have a good track record in keeping decent shows on the air--especially when those shows are even vaguely SF or fantasy-related.

I accidentally had the tv on that channel, was sucked in, and now have added that show to my already overly filled dvr. That show was actually the reason I ended up watching the depressing news that was the topic of my last post.

He's not too bad looking, not too bad at all. ;-)

Even when I'm watching some 9 p.m. show on FOX, I try hard to make sure the TV is off before the 10 o'clock news comes on.

I look forward to seeing how many excuses the writers can come up with for John Amsterdam to take his shirt off.

Are they totally not going to pick up that show? It seems a shame when they have exactly jack else worth watching, at least until next fall when there are new eps of Sarah Connor. That said I should've tried to watch the new Julianna Margulies legal thing that was also on Fox... eh, mebee later...

I've heard that there's a FOX exec who really hates the show and doesn't want it on the air (sound familiar?). On the other hand, it was the number one show in its time slot on Tuesday, which could possibly boost its chances of lasting at least until new episodes of House come back.

It seems a shame when they have exactly jack else worth watching, at least until next fall when there are new eps of Sarah Connor.

I still think House is worth watching, though it can irritate the heck outta me. And Bones isn't bad, though I hardly ever remember to turn it on.

Oh yeah, we don't miss House, but right now it's rerunrerunrerunrerunrerun. If I have to watch him carve up Dave Matthews's brain again I'm going to projectile hurl.
