My computer is all but dead. I'm going to have to go and buy a new one this weekend - if I can't figure out a way to go tomorrow. Sooo... if this is the last you hear of me for a bit then you know why.

Just glad I got all my exchange fics done before it decided to implode.

What's wrong with your computer? Is it just not turning on or not booting up? If its just not turning on, it could be your power supply, which is really cheap and easy to replace.

Unfortunately, computers seem to have the short life span of three years, no matter how cool or expensive it was. Well, that seems to be my average. (Though, since meeting my husband, computers tend to last longer as he knows how to rebuild them when something breaks.) Still, as technology gets fancier, the life span of things decreases. Remember when refrigerators lasted forever? When cars ran for miles even when you've forgotten to change the oil? Haha, well I don't remember, but I've been told of simpler times. Back when things were quality over quantity. Now the fabulous iphone has a life span of one year before the battery dies and the thing stops turning on. How ironic that a new, fancier iphone seems to pop up every year?

Hehe, sorry I ranted. Hope you figure out the problem with your computer!

No worries - I felt a bit like ranting last night. Now I have a shiny new computer and all seems right with the world!

Of course we won't mention the fact that this new computer is my fourth laptop in eleven years. Yikes.

There were so many things wrong with the last one. I managed to get a horrible virus on it about sixth months ago, and things had been going downhill ever since. When the adapter failed last night it was pretty much the last straw. It could send it away to be repaired, but I figured that they would just tell me that it was almost a write-off anyway. Even the broadband connection would not work properly anymore.

I agree, though. They do seem to have a life span of three years. Just like mobiles seem to have a life span of about two years. It's a conspiracy! Lol.
