Things I hate: people who link from icon communities to their graphic community and then make it so that you have to join in order to see the icons. I'm not joining your community for the five minutes it will take me to look over your icons. I can understand it when people do it with fic or art but icons? Meh

Lol, I thought she was looking a bit miserable! I can't take her for walks at the moment because of her bandage so she's been a bit grumpy. I think she thinks she's done something wrong.

I didn't get pictures of the most impressive ones - they puff their necks up when they're posturing and look like they're about to fall over, lol. The pic of Holly was taken in one of the rare moments when she's wasn't trying to take the bandage off.

I hate when you have to join communities for icons too. And I hate it for art and fic too unless the stuff is NC-17, in which case it's understandable.

Also, Harry as a WAG sounds hilarious. It would be crackish right? You should do it! :D

Yeah, definitely crackish. I'm not sure I would be able to pull it off though... and I'm really not sure whether I'll be able to write Harry/Ginny - I'd be worried that I'd end up indulging in a bit of Harry bashing.

I don't appreciate the comms I belong to being spammed for the purpose of boosting membership in unrelated comms. If I belong to something D/G, I'm there for that reason alone, not to fill up my icon chart.

Nor will I scoop up an artist's icon if they impose limits on how I should credit them. I will put their LJ-link under the names visible in my profile. The naming of the icon is something I reserve for myself, however, since I've selected it with some thought to what it represents.

That's exactly the way I feel about it. I think people who link to locked comms for icons expecting you to join in order to see them have a degree of arrogance. They should leave the comms unlocked - if the icons/graphics are any good in the first place then people will join/watch.
