The Oscars air at 8 p.m. Eastern, Sunday night, March 5, on ABC.

I would like to join in your festivities.

However, be forewarned: I genuinely like watching the oscars, and do so every year, basically without irony. I care about what people wear, I have favorites I root for, and others I actively oppose. I watch even the minor awards (editing, sound engineering) with rapt attention. Also, I am a catty bitch and not above making cutting remarks about the nominees' clothes, speeches, or facial expressions.

Also, I have very ambivalent feelings toward John Stewart.

But all that said, you can come watch at my house if you like (and can put up with the above). Oh, but if all that weren't bad enough, we have a tiny tv.

I might be having a party with some ladiez on Governor Street. We'll probably be shouting at the TV the whole time or at least I will, but you're welcome to join if it does come together (and I will let you know if it does). There will be popcorn and, hopefully, wine.
