Excellent. I'm glad that you've shown that Draco and Harry didn't just fall into each other's arms after so long. The relationship feels right. Only one problem: no London taxi, ever, is dirty or shabby. Mostly, they are kept well enough to satisfy even a Malfoy. And they cost to suit. If you want a dodgy kind of vehicle, you should have used a "minicab" - a private car for hire with driver, usually a fresh-off-the-boat immigrant who is trying to survive and learn the streets.

They're not going to be best of friends (at least to begin with), and they'll never forget their childhoods. But that doesn't mean they can't both grow.

Thanks for the info about the taxis/hired car. I suppose it can be explained by ridiculously high Malfoy standards (unless taxis in London are as nice as a limo here, which I'll agree is possible.)

I'm so far behind on LJ, and somehow I also missed the notification that you'd posted this, so I'm just now having the fun of reading this chapter.

Excellent work. I really liked the fact that Draco admits to seeing echoes of Harry's childhood in Matthew's situation. It sounds like between the two of them they are definitely seeing the warning signs now. Thankfully, it sounds like the Police are, too.

Can't wait to see how this is all resolved!

I'm glad you're enjoying it and I'm really happy to see you again. (I've missed you on LJ.)

The police (Aurors) are now aware of the situation and will be keeping an eye on things. Resolution? Hmmmmmmmm. (I'm not being that nasty; next chapter goes up tonight.)
