No worries, mate. I enjoyed the match (or, at least, what I managed to see of it) as well, an' the way I saw it was that if the Ukrainians were going to get knocked out of the tournament ... well, facing off against Italy was a pretty good way to wrap things up. Trust me, though, no hard feelings-- not when Buffon's now one of my favorite players thanks to you. The man's insane and that's fantastic. Just wish I could've seen the celebrating, but the damn bar patrons wanted Nascar and so that's what they got.

Heheh, on just that note you should check the links I went through and stuck in throughout this entry a little while after posting it...

Try "character" under Buffon, you'll love it. -Cracks me up at least.

And then a slightly longer one for "Winning" that shows a good portion of the celebrations. (Watch behind Buffon's right at about 8m37s to catch glimpse of Gattuso right after they stole his shorts as he goes hopping/stomping away...) The actual awards presentation and such is linked in the same section. Both clips are about 9 mins long, but enjoy as you will.

I've seen that first video before. Amazing.

And tomorrow morning I leave for Verkhovyna, this crazy Ukranian festival thing. Wonder if I'll be a blasphemer for falling in love with those crazy Italians.
