Been watching some music vids and just caught I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight by Cutting Crew. That's the first time I've actually seen Cutting Crew. The lead singer is quite cute. Of course now he's probably bald with a paunch and 6 children from 3 ex-wives

Oh glad it was a hit, it's a cool song - very 80's! Always brings back great memories :)

I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight was a hit. I definitely remember it getting a lot of airplay when I was a kid. Also, there's a Saturday Night Live sketch where Horatio Sanz plays a wedding singer who only knows that song.

Oh, but my favourite vid EVER is Let's Dance by FOB. Patrick is just adorable! (I've just found out that who I have long thought of as Joe is actually Andy and vice versa...think I've finally figured out the contents of TAI and I've decided to just think of The Cab as 'Alex'...seems to work for everyone else ;)

That whole paragraph made me laugh. *g*

I get all conflicted about Patrick Stump, because I love his voice a lot, and he seems like a really cool guy, but I'm just not attracted to him. (I blame the sideburns.) It makes me feel like an oddity sometimes, because everyone else in the world seems to think he's hot. Joe, on the other hand, I find extremely handsome when he's slightly more clean-cut, and at least intersting to look at when he's in full Jesus mode. Andy just seems awesome

Patrick is adorable but no, I have to agree with you, definitely not 'hot'! And let's face it if he wasn't in a sucessful band then he would be unlikely to get much attention for his looks but oh, that voice! The voice is gorgeous :)

OMG I forgot about Cobra!! I take it back - I clearly haven't sussed out TAI - in my mind it's more like some sort of 'super-band' that would be called The Academy Is...Cobra Starship!! I've never seen any Cobra vids or heard any of their songs - they're really not known over here. The same for The Cab.

The annoying thing is someone very kindly wrote me a band primer awhile back when I admitted my ignorance in a comment but I didn't save it and I can't remember the name of the person or where I left the comment! Seriously, I'm scarily inept!

I wish I'd seen that T.V. appearance. I wonder how many fics will have been inspired by that :)

The whole Andy/Joe thing is just embarrassing! And not helped by Joe growing his hair ;)

LOL. I would go see The Academy Is ... Cobra Starship in a heartbeat. :o) Fueled by Ramen pulled all their videos from YouTube (Grrrrr), but you can see them at the main Fueled by Ramen site here. Click the tab for Music Videos and then scroll through the content list until you get to Cobra Starship. I love The City is at War and Guilty Pleasure.

I'm such a dweeb - I always call it Let's Dance but of course it's actually Dance Dance!! Ironically they played it on the radio this morning on the way to school! The vids the one where FOB are playing at the school dance but are also 4 geeks from the school. I think it's hilarious :)

Patrick is a sweetie and his voice is just awesome. Oh noes, I have no FOB icons :( Have to make it a Panic one ;)
