That's wonderful! Heartbreaking and sweet -- and hot. I love the way it starts with Draco thinking about his mother's love, maybe the only thing that's still getting through to him (I do like his careful letters to her even though he supposes she can see what he's trying to hide). Then Draco starts to understand the concern and caring -- in their own various ways -- that he's seeing from Pansy and Blaise and even McGonagall. Then finally Harry, and the heartbreaking mixture of wariness and trust. I love the moment when Draco finally learns that he has things to give Harry, too. And I love the point you've chosen for the ending (and ha, now I almost want a fluffy sequel where Draco finds out about the Map).

I absolutely think Narcissa's love is the one thing than still gets through for real at the start of the fic. And I do like to think that even if Draco wouldn't ever be Minerva's favourite person, that she would include him in her concern for the school and everyone in it.
Ah yes, a fluffy sequel would be fun, haha, I think Harry's version of things would be rather entertaining :)
