I really like your username!
I am a bit curious of the strange search results, I must admit :)

I really like your username!

Thank you :) I didn't put a lot of thought into it, tbh, because I signed up on LJ to comment a little bit here and there and didn't think that I was going to be particularly active. But I do love fairy tales and forests and folklore, so I like the name.

Haha, suffice to say that I ended up some sites where they had really bad porn. I mean really bad porn. *Cringes* Those writers really ought to come to LJ and get a few tips, haha ;)

(Beklager surret med edits og slettet melding, litt usikker på hva som skjedde der...)

Interestingly, I think I became fascinated with Remus once I got into fandom, not before (I was far more interested in Sirius, though it did bother me in GoF when we didn't hear from "Lupin"). This was way back in high school, and I'm afraid I became rather... excessively fangirlish. (Edward Cullen fangirl fangirlish.) I got into Remus/Tonks before fandom though - I was already in fandom, but OoTP gave me major R/T vibes, so I went "back" online after finishing with a new ship.

I love fandom too, though I'm sad it's not as active as it once was, and that I can't seem to find a fandom with the same level of love and enthusiasm. I mean, on one hand as I just said, we're quieter, on the other hand we're still going strong. I think that says something!

I was more the other way around, actually - I've always been fond of Sirius as well, but I've grown to love his character more after I got into fandom. That's one of the things I love about fandom, how it can make me see new and interesting sides to the characters.

One good thing about HP fandom these days as opposed to how I get the impression it used to be, is that I feel there are less "shipping wars" now. At least on LJ, I mostly think that HP fandom is a very nice and including fandom. And yes, the fact that the fandom is still here and as strong as it is, is saying rather a lot :)

Thank you! I love fairytales and folklore, so I like that name.

It's always a lot of fun hearing more about the origin of people's usernames :)

Ooo, that's cool about your username! I've always really liked the sound of it, and I've always wondered if it meant something!

Thanks :) The English pronounciation is probably rather different from how we say my username in Norwegian, but I do like the sound of how I'd pronounce it in English as well :)

I'm really enjoying everyone's fandom origin stories

Absolutely, it's loads of fun hearing about how and why people came into fandom.

There's definitely room for more posts about what fandom means to people and the baffling inadequacies of Tumblr :)

I'll make a post about what this place means to me before too long :) When it comes to the latter, I'm not even sure I'd know how to articulate it (besides the "how do you even communicate and get to know people over there" issue). I see why Tumblr can be great to some people, but the whole thing makes me a bit stressed, actually. *Clutches LJ*
