One thing I love about Christmas time is baking.  I've been in the mood to bake and I mean BAKE.  However, I have had to put it off a few days because it seems hard for me to find Brandy extract.  For real.  So after I searched with no luck, I am going to try substituting it.  I went out today and bought more things to make some new recipes as well

Did you make the melted snowman cookies from the recipe I posted in Facebook? (Did you see that?) They are adorable! Did they turn out well?

Susan, I did! I followed the recipe from the blogger. The cookie icing dried FAST. I used two bags and could have used a third. Landan really enjoyed decorating his cookies. We passed them out to neighbors (along with coconut macaroons we made) and made their night. They all loved the snowmen.

The more time passes before starting on Monday, the more nervous I am getting. Rob's CSM told me last night that the Brigade Commander has spoken so highly of me. He had spoken with my old SCO, who of course had nothing but good to say : ) but geez. Now the whole Brigade plus has such a high expectation. Thanks for the high five!
