You're welcome. ;) Maybe we'll get some real intel on Strangerland soon, though on-set reports during filming do vary quite a bit. I don't want plot spoilers, just clarification of conflicting casting reports.
I'll confess that I haven't watched the Healing trailer(s) because I have gotten so sick of trailers that give away 75% of the film's plot. I want to be surprised!
I completely agree. I promise the teaser gives almost nothing away. ;) But in the case of a film like Healing, even a one-sentence premise tells you pretty much what to expect, so acting, writing and direction become more important than plot twists. As a Hugo fan I'm resigned to having plots spoiled by trailers, film critics (though I don't repost too many plot details in sharing review summaries), months- or years- long lags between Australian and US releases of films, etc... but most of Hugo's work is so amazing that plot mechanics aren't the important part of the experience. But in the case of pretty much all other films, I do avoid trailers and TV ads as much as possible. They either give away everything or, in the case of indie and foreign films, often misrepresent what the film actually is.
