Yet another PICSPAM to cheer me up;

Hey guys! It seems Hugo's not into anything else but his rags, but because I don't really want to put them into his cage (strings and whatnot) when I'm not there watching, I'm worrying he's all bored - sigh. I wish there was some toy or something, other than his wheel, that would get him activated but haven't found it yet. Ideas? Anyway, we're all ( Read more... )

Thistle prefers to poop on just about everything i give her as far as hidey places... so all she gets now is just dish towels/hand towels... we havent had any issues in over a year where i was worried about her with strings. She doesnt chew on them, just rearranges them in her cage and hides under them. I change them out as they get dirty... much easier to throw a load of towels in the wash than all the iglooo soaking i was doing before... and she seems just as happy.

Ah, makes sense. In our case, Hugo chews on the rags like crazy and has even made a whole into one of them, but I could definitely try giving him a towel of some sort (the doll rags he fancies are like really old and the attic smell is probably what tickles him so, doesn't poop on them or anything, just a lot of self-anointing) to see if he'll like it. He does have his own fleeces and stuff in his cage, but I suppose I could take the towels to my Mom's or something to get that "weird, not home-alike" smell on them :D Thanks for the comment, much appreciated!

Yay! Love Hugo *squeezes* (from afar. He'd probably turn into a ball and reject me if I was anywhere close ;))

But if you were here a lot, he'd get used to you. SO. Fly to Finland, asap!
