Hugo & the war

Apr 25, 2011 12:52

Hugo's never been that into taking baths, but lately he's been absolutely against it - whenever we take him to the bathroom, no matter if the lights are on or off, whenever he hears the water running or realizes where he is, he starts fighting for freedom, so to speak. Same with the bucket, even if we're in the living-room ( Read more... )

That tummy shot is the cutest thing EVER -- I know, it totally is XD

And hey, that's a damn good question. I wonder. HOW do they do it, really? I've never thought of it before :D

I hear that some hedgies like water, yet I've never SEEN one that likes water, haha. Bella used to fight in very much the same manner! I was NEVER able to clip her toesies.

Heh, I hear ya!

Hugo won't let me near with clippers, either, and I've never tried to do it with him in the water like some say they do it... In our household, apparently it's a male thing - only H is allowed to do it anyways so I haven't bothered trying with the water. I bet its because his hands are generally warmer, bigger and he's way more... relaxed when doing it whereas I'm all panicky and stressed and worried I'll hurt the little guy. I think I've mentioned this before, but usually during that time, I'm not even allowed to go into the bathroom to watch... "STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO AND GO AWAY, WOMAN!" *snort*

:D But yeah, I'd love to see one that likes water, seriously!

Hugo is so cute! I never knew people kept hedgehogs as a pet, I came across this journal from the hedgehog community, I hope you don't mind me adding you :)

Hey! Of course I don't mind :D I have to admit I've been MIA for way too long, though, but I shall have to try and be more active, once again. I remember when I first found out about pet hedgehogs, I think it was like 5 years ago or so, and I was all "what the hell? SERIOUSLY? that'd be so cool! ... and weird! I want one too!" and now, here I am, haha.
