Four years. He was six at the beginning of the story. It looks like they aged all the boys.

I expected them to age the children somewhat... most modern audiences wouldn't be able to deal with a 10-year-old being married off, for example. Remember, the movie (or miniseries) is never the book... it's an adaptation of the book, and (just due to the differences in format of a book and a movie) is HAS to be different. So I expect changes, and will usually approve of them... provided the changes work in the context of the adaptation.

I think that book 5 comes out this summer, in July... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Dance_with_Dragons

Too bad they killed an ecosystem or two filming the damn thing. They covered a beach in dead, dead sand. Now the beach is dead. Too bad if you were a thing living on that beach, on that protected land, for which they didn't ask permission to dump tons of sand.

Sigh.

"Exaggerated" seems the wrong term there. Inaccurate, yes. Thanks for the link! I'm glad to hear that the ecological damage, at least, wasn't as extensive as previously feared.
