[A post regarding matters of Merlin and middle ground]

Alternative title: Like I needed another fandom to eat my brain.

So during another week of practically no work, I found myself turning to my external hard-drive to find something I hadn't watched yet and came across Season 1 of Merlin. Given to me by missfahrenheit, it had been sitting there for a good couple of months and hadn't really grabbed my attention.

There's a fic I want to recommend but I can't find it anywhere - I didn't make note of it when I first read it and it had the most beautifully lovely bit in it, where Arthur tells Merlin he loves him, and Merlin is shocked... but it's not shock at being loved - but at the fact Arthur had realized it. Merlin knew already ... anyway. Alas, I cannot recommend it, because I cannot find it. Instead I would say go to the Merlinxarthur community and trail through a few? There are some really lovely ones... and some rubbish ones. So it's like a Woolies bag of pick n mix, really

Oh, that sounds lovely - I shall commence trawling through the comm and try and find it. And I know what you mean about the pic n mix nature of certain fandoms, it's like 9 bad fics for everyone good one but then the good ones are so good...

Thanks for the advice, you speak the truth as always XD *hugs back* As for anything you can do, perhaps we could hang out soon? I'm working this weekend but maybe next if you're free and of course well-written porn is always appreciated, I feel it is an unsung tool in the grieving process lol.

I can most definitely provide the porn, though I can't be 100% that it'll be well written XD Even I get a bit jellyish over writing porn! Amazing, eh?

As for meeting up, it's a shame you're working this weekend as Steph and I are popping up to London (if she's still on for it, I fear the island has devoured her, must mail her and check she's still coming) on Saturday, then she's staying over mine to Sunday, where my dad will be returning her back to the Island at some point (... if his car isn't broken. May have to mention that to her too)...

But anyway, as far as I'm aware the weekend after I'm not actually doing anything - though I ought to start thinking of Xmas shopping soon, really... online shopping here I come? Haha. So we could hang out if you'd like! We could go out or stay in - the only thing we'd need to work around would be my driving lesson early on the Saturday if it's Sat we hang out :) it's up to you :D
