Right about now, I would love to start my own 'zine. Or a distro. Something, at least. Starting a 'zine would be tons of work, and I would need people to submit different things also; poems, pictures, articles, short stories, etc. I would need to buy all the supplies to make it and find a copy shop that would be able to copy my 'zines for me. If I wasn't the type of person who procrastinates and was actually talented in that type of thing, I would start one. But, I think it's a lot more work than I realize.

Yeah. Jared already told me that he would write for it and I'm sure Sarah Binder would help with me the cover design, art, and layout stuff. I could also get people from lj to help out too. They could send photos, letters, articles, art, poetry, whatever they wanted. Think I should do it?

im a junior in highschool and have been making zines for over a year. i have never really had a hard time with time or work. you can take as much time as you want making your project, its yours afterall. it takes me about 2-3 months to complete an issue, but over the summer it will be like a little under a month per issue. the more time you spend on it the better it will be, dont rush it. and its not as much work as you would think, as long as you like doing productive stuff and being creative its really alot of fun.
if you have any questions just ask, i would love to help.
