i think i just need to simplify a bit. focus on finding a job, a new pet friendly apartment, and some people who actually feel like doing something with their lives other than wasting it away. it shouldn't be that difficult
well new haven is all about people wasting their lives away, if you haven't noticedi think it's become apparent

i hope you find your pet-friendly apartment soon - then you can concentrate on taking care of blue instead of people who don't appreciate your nurturing self!

school and job should help you find those non-soul-sucking people. have you looked into service jobs that can fill some of your need for random acts of kindness?

just putting all this out there (i'm SURE you've thought it all already), because in this entry particularly, i see a lot of myself in you. don't go down that co-dependency road. it's not worth the 57 more times you'll have to kick drunk "friends" out of your apartment.

well i made my way into alchemy the night before last and had a brief chat with the owner. she said things were hectic this weekend, but she'd call me on wednesday to set something up. my sister said she seemed to like me, and i know a few people already working there, so it should be a decent four night a week job. i'm calling up temp agencies tomorrow to set up appointments which will hopefully bring me a day job. i'm still iffy on the school thing because of out of state tuition costs which i'll have to get from loans, but the sooner i get my degree the better...

on the pet front, it looks like blue is going back home for a little while longer... which isn't satisfying, but it's probably the best course for now.
it shouldn't be a long stay.

i think i've found keeping up those old ways will only bring me down the same path, and while that doesn't necessarily mean a total change, certain allowances must be. thanks for the supportive words :)
