I rolled over and saw that I was lying in a Yunho-less bed. Well, actually it’s Minnie’s bed... anyway, Yunho must be running the paper... wait, he quit that job a while ago (it really didn’t pay that much anyway). Then I smelt it. The smell of ....pancakes? Oh my god, that means someone is using my precious cookware without me there to supervise! I quickly hopped out of bed and ran into the kitchen.
“Yunho, what are you doing?”
“Making breakfast.”
“Did you use PAM?”
“Did I use what?” My shoulders visibly sagged.
“PAM, Yunnie, is the cooking spray that you spray on a pan before you cook with it, so the food doesn’t stick to the pan.” I sat and slouched in the chair. There was no point in trying to help. Breakfast was doomed.
“Oh, I don’t need that stuff, look.” Then Yunho tried to pick up the batter/soon to be pancake, with his... MY, spatula. “Uh oh.”
“Just throw it in the sink, Yunnie, I’ll clean it later.”
“No no, this can be fixed.”
“Face it, it’s doomed.”
“No, nothing is doomed, yet.”
“What’s doomed?” Xiah asked as he came into the kitchen.
“Breakfast.” I said
“It’s not... fine, it’s doomed, but I’m cleaning the dish, you just go get ready.” Yunnie said.
“Ready?” I asked.
“It’s only seven, I thought it stared at eleven?” Xiah said.
“Jae, it’s Saturday.” Saturday... SATURDAY! YOU MEAN IT WAS ALL A DREAM!
“What! You mean last night I only dreamed we graduated? That didn’t happen yet? But the dream was so real...”
“You dreamed we already graduated?”
“Yeah, and it was so real.”
“Didn’t your dream about you standing up and reading to the class that, now infamous, essay you wrote, also feel really real to you too?”
“Yeah it did... I don’t like my dreams.” Yunho laughed as he dumped the pan into the sink.
“So, seeing as it is Saturday, I thought I would let you sleep in a bit more, and be the one to make breakfast.”
“Wait, so we ARE graduating today?”
“Ummm... yes, Dear.”
“WELL, WHY DIDN’T YOU SAY THAT BEFORE!” Oh my god. Today was graduating day, I was graduating in a few hours and I haven’t even showered yet. “Are you planning on letting me sleep in on our wedding day too!” I yelled as I sprang up from my chair and sprinted to my room. Only to come to a screeching halt right outside it. Oh right, the girl. I turned around and headed into the living room. Minnie was still asleep on the couch. Well, not for long. I quickly tilted our blow up couch, causing Minnie to fall off of it.
“Kim ChangMin, wake up, I need you to go and wake up your baby’s mama so I can get into MY room!” Minnie lifted his head.
“Wa?”
“Get up, and go wake up your girl.”
“Jae, let him sleep, I’ll go wake her.” Yunnie said and started heading to our room. I hurried after him.
“Oh I don’t know, Yunnie, I think we should let Min do it.”
“We’ve already let Min do “it”, and now we have a pregnant fifteen-year-old girl in our bedroom.”
“You know what I mean!” And then the door to our room opened and we both froze. I‘m not going to lie. It’s been very hard having to adjust to a girl in our household. There is no more walking around in our underwear, even though summer IS right around the corner. And Yunho felt that to make her feel more comfortable, we should try and keep the toilet seat down at all times in the bathroom (a task that I didn’t know was so annoying till now). And of course, there is the fact that she sleeps in OUR room. Yeah, that was MY brilliant plan.
“Oh, good morning, do you need to use your room, Oppas?” She asked.
“Umm, yes we do, if you don’t mind.” Yunho said. Why should she mind? It’s OUR room. She stepped out of the room, and into the hallway, then moved to the side so we could enter our room.
“Oh, why should I mind, I mean it’s your room, after all.” Hmmm, at least Minnie knocked up a smart girl.
I believe Yunho might have said something after that but I wasn’t paying attention. I was already in our room, opening my dresser drawers. I grabbed a new pair of socks and briefs, then I rushed out of the room and to the bathroom, only to see the door shut. I looked back to see a now smirking Yunho still standing in the hallway.
“Where is the girl?” And don’t say “in the bathroom”.
“In the bathroom, and she has a name, Jae.”
“But why, I need to be in there. She’s not graduating today, I am, why is she in there now, Yunnie, why I...!?” Yunho closed the gap between us and placed his hands on my shoulders.
“Jae Jae, you need to calm down, you were like this last night too, and I don’t think I need to repeat my method for calming you, unless you want to, and...” His method in calming me? THAT’S what he was doing when he made love to me last night in a sweet and time consuming way? I thought he did it just because he liked the way I looked clad in only my pajama bottoms. Yunho never finished his sentence because he chose to kiss me on the lips sweetly instead. Then he ended the kiss and said. “And you know what they say, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” Then he put his hands on either side of my face and kissed me again. I brought my hands up and attached them to his forearms.
“Hey, get a room, you two.” We broke apart and looked over at Xiah, who was now standing in the hallway a few feet away.
“We tried to, but the girl keeps on invading them before we get a chance to.” Yunnie just shook his head and then leaned his forehead against mine. That was when the girl decided to come out of the bathroom. Yunnie and I couldn’t separate fast enough. We still had to endure the “squeal” all girls from our school seem to give whenever anything “JaeHo” happens. Yes, the name Leeteuk came up with that day in the car, I might have brought it up to Yunnie one day at lunch, only to have it be overheard by a girl, which in turn made it become the “official” name for anything that was romantic, or sweet that contained Yunnie and myself, from that day onward. Yunnie doesn’t like the name because it suggests that I am on “top” when we are in bed.
I personally love the name and use it often.
The girl then walked past us and into the living room, most likely to see Minnie. I looked to the bathroom, I wanted to go in it, but Yunnie was now holding me in place against the wall. It was a smooth gesture that gave me no time to immediately react. I looked at him in what I believed to be a “let go of me” look, but I guess he didn’t get the message.
“Hey, how about to save time, we shower together?” Together... well that would save time.
“Okay, sure...” Wait a minute... me... Yunho... shower... naked... “Wait, that won’t save time, all we’ll do is distract each other and god knows what else. And you know it.”
“So?”
“Geez, Yunnie, I don’t want to be late, okay, and is THAT all you can think of nowadays?”
“Only when you’re at least within ten feet of me, love.” I had to grin at that, I just had to. Just like I had to give him about six quick kisses. After that though I was finally allowed to leave and go take my shower.
So I showered, Yunho showered, and the girl showered. The boys had showered the night before. I got dressed as did everyone else. And we even had some breakfast too. And yes, just like I predicted, we left the house running, because we were officially running late for Graduation.
“We’re never going to make it.” I said to Yunnie as we got into the car.
“Now now, even if we do get there late, it’s not like they can really start graduation without us.”
“You say that as if you really believe that, but you don’t know if that’s really true, or not.”
“I’m just trying to think positively, Deary.”
“I know, and I love you for that.” I said, he smiled and looked over at me. And then we kissed (and the girl squealed).
“You know we’re definitely going to be late if you don’t even start the car up, Dad.” Xiah said.
“Hush you, and don’t worry, we won’t be late.” Yunnie said as our lips parted and he turned to start the car. As we sped off I sat back in my seat. I love this seat. It always reminds me now of that night with Yunho. When we had sex twice in this very seat. I was stupid to question whether he really loved me back then. I know that now.
*memory*
“Xiah’s not going to be too happy that we just had sex on his bed, you know.” I said to Yunho, the naked, sweat slicked man, who laid beneath me.
“Eh, we’ll just tell him we will switch his mattress with Min’s.”
“Hehe, and will we?”
“Probably not.” We both laughed. I laid my head down on his chest, and his fingers crept up and started to run through my hair as well as lightly massaging the back of my neck. “Jae?”
“Yeah?”
“Did you... did you really believe that I would... cheat on you like that... did you really think that?” I could hear his voice slightly hitch towards the end. I propped myself up on my elbows and looked onto his already glistening eyes.
“Oh, Yunnie...”
“Did you?”
“Yes.”
“Why?” He cried, and I moved to lick away the two tears that fell from his eyes (well it’s not like I could use my hands... that’s what was holding me up). He just repeated his “why”.
“I don’t know, because I’m stupid okay, really stupid, I should never have thought that.” His eyes were no longer ready to pour tears. I could tell he didn’t like that answer. He wasn’t angry, he was just... no longer sad.
“No really, Jae, why would you think I was cheating on you, out of all things.”
“Well, it’s just... well, look at the facts, I mean, you would leave without telling me WHERE, you would LIE and say, “no one” was on the phone, I mean, you were lying to me, Yunnie, you never do that.”
“Yes I do, I lie whenever I’m trying to hide a surprise from you, in fact, I thought you would have surely figured out what was going on BECAUSE I was lying.”
“Yeah, but you also always tell the kids, and they tell me not to worry, that they know what you’re hiding, and it’s nothing bad, well, I asked them this time and they didn’t know, and, and you have never included the Bit- BoA in any of your plans for me. I mean, seesh, all I knew, Yunho, was that you were lying to me and trying to hide the fact that you were sneaking off to go over BoA’s house, what was I suppose to think... And, and it wasn’t only me. Xiah, and Minnie, and Teukie, and everyone else thought you were cheating too...”
“Oh that’s comforting, and I don’t care what everyone else thought anyways, you, Jae, are the one who is suppose to know me the best, you’re suppose to know that I would never do such a thing, that I love you, that I love you and only you, more than anything.”
“I know, I know that now, I just... did I mention that I was stupid?”
“Yes, you did. But you know, I guess this is kind of my fault too...”
“Kind of, you were the one lying to me, none of it would have happened if you...”
“Yes, I know, now may I finish?”
“Go ahead.”
“Now, I know that MOST of it was my fault. When I saw that you were upset I should have forced you to tell me exactly why. I mean, if I had any idea that you thought I was cheating on you I would have rejected that idea on the spot. And then things wouldn’t have escalated the way they had... I mean, you probably wouldn’t have tried to kill me with your shoes tonight, right... which, by the way, did hurt, a lot.”
“Yeah, sorry about that... it’s just, I mean, I saw you two actually kissing, and I guess I sort of... snapped.”
“Again, it was just a kiss on the cheek, Jaejoong...”
“So, even Heechul said that you two were “involved”.”
“Okay, so that was just some bad word usage on Heechul’s part, and WHY did you feel like you could ask HEECHUL, whether or not I was “involved” with BoA, but you couldn’t ask ME?”
“Hmmm, let’s see, out of the two people you just mentioned, which one had recently picked up the habit of lying to me?”
“Okay, good point, but you know why was I lying to you, right, Jaejoong?” He asked as he started to play with the engagement bracelet that was already secure on my wrist. We both looked at it for a bit.
“Because you want to save money on our taxes.” He laughed.
“No, seriously, Jae, besides that doesn’t even apply to couples like us.”
“Oh... well, then I guess it MUST be because you love me.” I said with a smile.
“Right, and just so there isn’t any more doubt in your mind, would you like to repeat that again?”
“Because you love me.”
“Yes, I love you.”
*End Memory*
Yeah, that night was perfect... well except the part where I freaked out at prom, tried to kill Yunnie with my shoes, and had a fight back at the house... but everything that happened before and after that were good, no, not good, perfect.
