Troop deaths.

2 British soldiers were killed and 1 severely injured in Afghanistan this morning - in the area where my bro is. The fact they haven't been named to the press means that the families haven't yet been informed. Jesus I just saw that on the news and I'm biting my nails here. And I so *totally* empathise with what you're going through. Some poor buggers are going to get shitty news soon - but I hope with all my heart that it's not you.

Thanks. I suspect that if it was bad news I'd have heard something by now.

I think the guys involved were Paras, as the BBC army spokesman on the news was a Para Captain who was in "lets just get this over with and give a basic statement" mode - I've worked with enough military guys in a rough environment to be able to read them and a situation. :o(

And then I felt guilty for thinking "Please don't let it be a Marine". I just wish we could pull them all out of there and let those fucking Taliban get on with trashing their country.
