[Back at Cho's flat]

He returns to Cho's flat after having met with Sweeney. He tries very hard to keep his broken nose hidden for now, and to that end, has a hand over his nose as he tries to sneak through the lounge and on to the bathroom. He figures if he can get the worst of it cleaned off, it won't look quite so bad. What he didn't count on is the fact that he now ( Read more... )

Cho is in the kitchen, primping her little 'surprise' for Ced when he calls out. She frowns slightly, noticing something strange about his voice. "Ced, love? I'm in the kitchen. Are you... is anything wrong?"

He replies in the same strange voice, glad she's not here to see...

"Oh, no, I'm fine. I'm just... I'll be right there." (which sounds more like "Oh, Do, I'b fide. I'd chust... I'w be wight dere.")

He hurries into the bathroom, hoping to wash the worst of it off. And that's when he sees his twin black eyes. Bracing himself on the sink, he takes a few deep breaths. There's no way I can hide that without help... Splashing his face and doing his best to clean the worst of the blood off, he ventures into the kitchen where he braces himself for Cho's fussing.

The sight that greeted her was the -last- one she expected to see: Ced with black eyes and a very clearly broken nose. By the dried smears of blood, it was apparent that he'd tried to clean up.

She stares at him for quite some time with a blank expression. She takes him by the hand and seats him at the kitchen table, silently going to the bathroom to gather some ointments and her wand.

Sitting down in front of him, she dabs some ointment onto a cotton ball and smirks as she starts to clean the remaing blood off. "Busy making friends, were we?"

He sits down like a good little boy and gives Cho a sad, heart-wrenching look. The effect of said look is somewhat ruins as he laughs at her comment... which promptly causes him to grab his nose and yell "ow ow ow" a few times. He comments in as clear a voice as he can manage, which is still sufficiently stuffed up:

"Believe it or not, but no... Someone apparently paid Mad Sweeney to break my nose."
