I've come to realize recently that I have a tendency to railroad people into being my friends. I don't mean to do it - I swear. But I think it always comes as something of a shock

personally i found your "stab them while they think you're helpless and are concerned for you enough to ask if you're okay" strategem to be very bold and well thought out.

I somewhat remember the day this strategy kicked in...

I was all, "Hey, I remember you. We used to talk sometimes last time I was here regularly. ...Annnnnd... We're best friends now? Cool!"
