i just found a note from the morning of aug 27th talking about a dream i had where a group of straight edge vegan activists pushed their agenda by going into social settings and making sure everyone felt good about themselves. just standing around complimenting people listening and working through awkward social moments. their reasoning was that

Brilliant! Veganism is the way forward in making a peaceful,healthy, compassionate world. All the vegans I have met also care about the environment, about spiritual matters, and about other people. They are not one-issue, one dimensional people - they're the most rounded people on earth. Unfortunately, I can't see everyone adopting this way of life voluntarily: it would only be the collapse of farming (because enough people had become vegan) or the health message getting through more widely that meat and dairy are unhealthy, that would force the population as a whole to adopt the vegan lifestyle. But the greed, selfishness and warmongering of humanity will probably have seen the extinction of humans on this planet long before then. A bit gloomy, but when you look at the US, Iraq and now Iran (not to mention the corrupt British government), it does make you a bit pessimistic. Having said that, there are more and more vegans, and seeing the vegan diet has been proved to be the most healthy, scientifically speaking, more and more people
