don't want to work....

Apr 08, 2006 16:25

I got up yesterday, and cleaned up the house that I was staying at. Waited for my friend's phone call, and waited, and waited. Had to get home for a few things first. Finally got her message at around 6pm. Their plane had some problems, and had them wait until almost night time to tell them that the flight won't resume till the next day. So I ( Read more... )

Liquidation Supercentre, near Chinook Centre? That's where Mike got my replica of The Bride's sword, from Kill Bill. :)

So when are you leaving for Europe, and when do you get back??

Speaking of anime, I just bought Miyazaki's latest two that Disney released. My Neighbour Totoro, and Whisper of the Heart. Haven't watched them yet. Haven't had time. Hopefully I'll be able to watch them tomorrow!

And if I'm not going back to school, I can afford to save up to buy Kenshin! Yay!

Who does want to go to work...? Worst day off is better than the best day at work!

I saw My neighbour Totoro. Like it quite a lot. I'll have to rent the other one and decide if it is worth the $20+.

I am leaving for Europe on May 18 and back to Canada on June 22. Should be fun.

I'm at work now, but working gives me the ability to buy all the stuff I want. Including the vacation I am planning. I can't wait for Maui in August.

It's the same spelling you gave me before, isn't it? Qing?

I think I used Qing because it was the dynasty.. And in that dynasty, all the Manchurians have 2 last names. The Manchurish (is that the word?) last name, and an adopted chinese last name. "Aixin-Jueluo" is the name I was talking about. I guess in the site, it has it listed as Clan name. but like the old Irish and Scottish, clan name is your last name ;).

It is possible to have a last name and clan name are different (in scottish and irish traditions). That's why Duncan always announces himself as Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod.Usually your last name was a description. I think, technically, I would be Susan NicEdgar of the Clan Russell (Nic meaning 'daughter of'). Was that too much info?

nah, it always fun to store away informations like that. Never know when it'll be handy.

but now that you mentioned it. I am actually very sure that the long name is a last name, not just a clan name. But for accuratecy purpose, I'll ask my dad when I see him next.

4 more hours to go on my long night shift.
