Well, I'm slowly gathering the pieces for a pvr. I've got two setups I'm looking at using.

(1) Celeron 1400 (w/larger cache), 768 MB of RAM
or(2) AMD K6-2 running at 300 Mhz, 64 MB of RAM

If you are using mediacenter 2005, option one will barely do ther trick, to use it you'll likely need a dedicated disk controller card.
