Custom header help

I'm in the midst of making a community here on LJ and I wanted to put up a custom header in the layout.  For some reason it's not showing up.  I know the proper code, and I've tried fiddling with the settings to make sure the theme isn't getting in the way, but nothing seems to be working.  Any tips?

If you add what community (so we can see it firsthand) and insert the code, someone can probably be more helpful. Based on what you said, I have no idea. :-p

Which theme are you using?

I think the theme was probably the problem. I switched to the flexible squares theme and everything's working now.
