Cycling Text

I tried to google around for this, but I think I'm using the wrong terms. Is there any way to have links on a page that you can click to change the text on that page? For example, if I have a column with text in it, and link1, link2, link3, and link4 at the bottom, is there a way for each of those links to load new text into the column rather than ( Read more... )

Not sure if you can do this in a LJ profile, but if you can write javascript, yeah you can do that :)

For pure html though, not so certain.

Well, I was going to mention something about frames, but since you're using something like LJ where frames don't really make an appearance, then no, you really can't do that, since LJ strips javascript in profiles and entries.

If I am understanding what you're wanting correctly, then that is certainly possible! I am working on a code on LJ right now, actually, that is set up to look like a webpage. At the top I have the header, and below the header I have several different links. Each link brings up different text/content, but it is all in the same LJ entry. Are you wanting something sort of similar to that?

If so, let me know and I will explain it to you as well as I can! Or, if it is easier, I could even throw up an example post in my journal and write a brief tutorial beneath... I'm not the best at explaining things, but I will certainly try if no one else does. :)

Er... eek, just realized how old this post is, so you might not need it anymore! But if you do, just let me know.
