Have you watched any of it yet? You'll be glad you have less time to wait, though, OMG. It's excruciating.

i haven't watched any of it yet; anything i watch recently has been with half my attention, and i had a feeling breaking bad might require all of it. ;)

Cougartown is my go-to show of the week (also Castle) I love it soooooo much!!! I could totally see you writing fic to it too. :)

What pairing do you like best? Or characters? I'm thinking of giving it a try this summer. :)

I love them all as a group, I can't narrow down all that fabulousness to a single pairing. I do like Andy and Bobby's friendship so much though. And Elle. All by herself.

I'm glad people are picking up on how adorable Happy Endings is. It's not perfect, but it's off to a really good start. I'm enjoying it!

And also, you can be my "sadface in solidarity" pal over the likely demise of No Ordinary Family. :/ I will miss it so.

I can't decide who I like best, which is why I know I'll enjoy it a lot. I hope it continues to do well.

I wish they would just officially cancel NOF. Even though you know it's going to happen, it's like someone in a coma in the hospital. :(

You need to add "Haven" to that list. SOO good.

I'm having a lot of issues with "Community" this season. I caught up with "Parks & Recreation" and that show has really crept up to the #1 spot for me. It has what drew me to "Community" to begin with - warmth and likable characters who genuinely enjoying being together and hanging out with each other.

This last episode really kind of showed me the difference between the two. The idea of the episode was great (a parody of clip show episodes) but the execution? Oh, it hurt like the devil. All the arguments and just the bitterness. They just didn't look HAPPY.

And since I'm a Jeff/Annie shipper (I guess) the whole shipping thing kind of threw me off. The episode just opened up a lot of issues and there was no resolution or even hope there would be.

Anyway... it's still on my "Must WATCH" list. But...I don't know if S3 is going to work for me if they keep going down that path.

You and a lot of my friends. I don't ship anyone except Troy/Abed, Troy/anyone, plus I love trope-twisting so much it's crazy. I DIED laughing on Thursday, especially at the "Gravity" homage. Dan actually tweeted the girl who made the original fanvid for Jeff/Annie to that song three hours beforehand to warn her. She's on my Twitter feed, and all her mutual friends FREAKED OUT. An explosion of fannish joy. Seriously, the amount that Dan pays attention to us, even to poke gentle fun, is amazing.

I think the whole point is not to get invested in any particular ship. You can't and enjoy this show.

I also believe that the arguing is to set up the finale - but I could be wrong!

Don't get me wrong - I'm not a rabid shipper when it comes to "Community". I can really just take it or leave it.

BUT - if they're going to go there? Then they should really attempt to make it a little bit more about the characters and less about sly nods to fandom. I actually understand how shipping vids work, so I was able to get the joke.

My husband? He was utterly lost and going, "WTF is going on? When did this show start sucking?"

I like meta episodes and trope-busting shows as much as the next TV lover... but in the case of this show? They need to TONE it DOWN a couple of notches.

Oooh, yes, you should write fic for Cougar Town, it'd be delightful! There is so little of it. I still can't believe I wrote the first fic for it on the AO3.

Also your BBT thoughts are my BBT thoughts. I mostly think all of the girls make for such a great addition to the cast - I love them all a lot and the dynamic between Penny/Bernadette/Amy is priceless.

Huh, I thought Breaking Bad S4 was going to air much later than that, maybe I was confused with Mad Men. Is S3 out yet? I have S1-2 to watch but I'd like to have minimal waiting between seasons...

Exactly! The girls are making the show shine. Plus Sheldon/Amy has grown so much on me that I no longer ship S/P in the slightest.

The DVD set comes out in the US on June 7. That will give you about a month to catch up, if you watch one a day. Or maybe you could start on S1-2 after network shows go on hiatus mid-May?
