I just felt my heart break while reading this. Just snap right in two. Everything about this is just beautifully sad, and even knowing that everything turns out OK in the alpha timeline doesn't make it any better. Great job.

oh ouch. Thank you for not including the moment where John actually dies. This kiss and Rose's inability to do anything are bad enough.
