Nakajima Yuto - TV Life (10 July 2021)

Aug 21, 2021 18:00

We have started a new series that gives you a peek into the "daily life" of JUMP! We photographed them in their natural state, so you can feel like you are spending time with them. In this first instalment, we take a closer look at a "day in the life" of Nakajima-san and his private life.

Time Schedule

9:30 - Wake up. Breakfast

I have bananas and yoghurt for breakfast. It takes me about 30 minutes to get ready.

10: 00 - Study English

I take an online class. Sometimes it's shorter, sometimes it's longer, so my learning time depends on the day, but I try to attend as much as possible.

12:00 - Lunch

I try to be healthy and have chicken as my main dish!

13:30 - Go to work

Starting [work] in the afternoon is just ideal (laughs). From here on, I'm in full work mode. I'm working!

18:00 - Return home, relax and have dinner.

Spend time watching dramas, movies, and videos. I think most of my dinners are foods that are easy to digest. I like quick and easy meals like pasta and udon with just a few ingredients.

22:00 - Game or music

I don't usually play games for a long time, but I ideally play for an hour or two. I also spend some time listening to music.

24:00 - Bath & bedtime

I usually take a bath just before going to bed. I definitely take a bath in the tub. It would be nice if I could go to bed around 10 pm, but I tend to stay up late.

Who amongst the JUMP members seems to have a similar rhythm of life to you?

... I don't think there are any. I have the biggest range of interests amongst the members and I'm always on the move, but I can't think of anyone who lives like that. In the first place, I don't know about the private lives of the members (laughs). In particular, Inoo-chan's hobbies and private life are a mystery to me. My image of him is that he spends his time in a relaxed and comfortable way. He may be the complete opposite of me.

What is a "little luxury in your daily life"?

When I'm able to take a proper ap, I feel a sense of luxury, like, "I have enough time to take a nap today. Maybe I feel that way because I'm the type of person who usually can't sleep until nighttime once I wake up. When I have a lot of free time during the shooting of a drama or something, I sometimes go back to my dressing room and take a nap, but it's only for a short time. It's easier for me to read the script or work on something because I can't switch off when I'm acting.

Do you have anything particular you do inside the house like housework?

I wouldn't say it's particular, but I have a room for my hobbies. The most items that occupy the room are musical instruments and other music-related items. I sometimes take videos of myself drumming, so I have a mixer (for music), an audio interface, a computer, and a tripod. There's also a place I keep my cameras, and a place on the wall to keep my airsoft guns, so it's a room that'll make boys excited (laughs). In this room, I can have hours of fun alone!

What kind of entertainment do you watch a lot of these days?

For quite some time now, I've been watching movies on streaming sites. I watch any genre, action, horror, mystery, human dramas, and comedy. I choose movies based on my mood on the day and my favourite actors, but the ones I have a hard time getting into are love stories. Maybe it's because I don't have an image of myself playing a role like that. When I think back, all the love stories I've seen have had AI partners and the situation is special (laughs), all of them have "romance plus more."

What is your current percentage of "life"?

A. 40%. Maybe a little less, even though it's still evening. I had a physically and mentally draining day a few days ago, and I guess it's still dragging on a little. I make a conscious effort to not look back on the work I did that day at night so I don't feel anything negative, as I feel that thinking, "I did this, this, and this today," increases my fatigue. I do my best to do the job in front of me, and when I'm done, I just forget about it. This is the key to my energy.
