Nakajima: I like the humour which is clear in Taiiku-san's song, which is cute and snarky about common things in the world. I wish I could tap into that kind of thing.
Taiiku: There's a talent that I want from Nakajima-san and I've coined a term for it, but his 'sense of ends' is amazing (T/N: I dunno how to put this into English). With both, the drama series I co-starred with him in (T/N: Bokudoko) and this fashion shoot, he has the sense to create something beautiful from his lips right to the tips of his fingers.
Nakajima: I'm happy to hear that! Well, Taiiku-san is no different to me when it comes to capturing the details. In the lyrics of 'Liar', the song he provided us for our latest album 'Fab! -Music Speaks!-", there's a line that pokes a little bit of fun that's says "people who try to put on a good appearance" and I think that can apply to a lot of people. For me, the line "very popular actor and very good friend" struck a chord (laughs).
Taiiku: Ahaha! When they were making this album, I researched all the members. When I saw the comical expressions on their faces, which were different from the standard idols, I imagined that even the perfect Nakajima-san might be someone who just lounges around at home, and that's how I came up with the idea for this song. The concept was to combine fairytales and music, so I imagined my own fantasy.
Nakajima: We actually received another demo song from Taiiku-san, but it was rejected for some reason. But as a result, we came across this wonderful song.
Taiiku: I got too much into it and was too aggressive... sorry (laughs).
Nakajima: Hehe. I feel that the group's sensibility has grown through having songs from many different creators on the album, through the various fairytale worlds.
Taiiku: This is one where I'm personally very curious to see what other people have written about this theme and how the members will sing about it. I'm looking forward to the release.
Nakajima: Oh, I'm very excited about it~ It's going on sale on 16 December (laughs). Taiiku-san, you're going to release an album too, aren't you?
Taiiku: Yes, on the 2nd of February! The album will include six of the main theme songs produced for the movie 'Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle' and four songs from the TV anime.
Nakajima: Is this your first time writing music for a film?
Taiiku: Yes. I've loved Pokemon since I was a child, so I was really happy to be involved. I asked amazing artists like Matsumoto Tortoise and Kimura Kaera to do the vocals, and I'm happy with the result!
Nakajima: That's great! Well, my goal for 2021 is to form a unit with Taiiku-san. I think this shoot can be our unit's jacket photo (laughs).
Taiiku: Nice! Well, my goal is to get to know you better so when I meet your fans, I can say "I'm a very good friend of Yuto"
Nakajima: Then I want you to say, "I appeared in Men's No-no with him" (laughs).
