Yamada Ryosuke and Chinen Yuri
Yamada: I like electrical appliances related to the kitchen that is new.
Chinen: Things like a toaster?
Yamada: Yeah, I'm really interested if it comes out good!
Chinen: It's the mechanisms that make me interested in new products. Things like gadgets.
Yamada: Ah- you know a lot.
Chinen: On the other hand, I repeat myself when it comes to food. The favourite restaurant I order at is the same one I order for home delivery.
Yamada: By the way, Chii always eats the same thing (laughs).
Chinen: Right? I don't try new things. There are many times where someone will take me out to a new restaurant, but I don't search them out myself.
Yamada: I'm the type who certainly likes to try new things. Before I started taking Chii out, I wonder if he had become a repeat customer at a restaurant?
Chinen: Yeah. At a yakiniki restaurant and a yakitori restaurant. I'm grateful for that since if I don't do it, I won't feel like I'm stepping into a new restaurant.
Yamada: At first glance, I see the food. I look it up on the internet and say, "This looks good! Let's go!".
Chinen: From now I will take that energy onboard (laughs).
Yamada: What about works of music and entertainment? Do you jump into something new, or do you listen continuously to the old stuff?
Chinen: I'm the type to repeat. If it's well known, I'll listen to it, so the new songs I listen to only increase by a small amount.
Yamada: When you're listening and something comes naturally in your ears, are there times where you think "Ah, I like this"?
Chinen: Sometimes. But it's not something that I get very caught up in (laughs).
Yamada: Chii, haven't you liked Tokunaga Hideaki-san since you were a student?
Chinen: Yeah. Even when I became an adult, the songs I listened to when I was a student, I still continue to listen to them. Tokunaga Hideaki-San and his cover albums, "VOCALISTS" I liked 2 and 3.
Yamada: Now that you say that, I was the same with TUBE. My mother loved them, and when I used to go to the beach, I used to play their music. That's why I have been brought up on the voice of Maeda-san (Nobuteru). (laughs)
Chinen: Do you listen now and when do you listen?
Yamada: When I want to inspire myself. The song I recommend is "Kizudarake no hero". But there aren't many people in my generation who know about it, so I listen to it in my car while wearing earphones (laughs).
Chinen: I was secretly listening to something I didn't know (laughs).
Yamada: When I was a child, I used to live near the beach. When I listen to Maeda-san's voice, I also like nature and that scenery is spread across my mind.
Chinen: Speaking of the beach, Ryosuke, you invited me to Hawaii about six months ago, right? I couldn't go because I went to another county for my job with world gymnastics.
Yamada: Ah! That's a completely private trip! In the end, I went with four friends I found.
Chinen: I haven't seen the beach in Hawaii in over 10 years. I want to see it again.
Yamada: I hadn't seen it for about 10 years before this time I went. The last time I went, it was together with Chii for a job so we would've been first year or second year of high school?
Chinen: The time before that- Did you feel it differently then?
Yamada: Firstly, the scenery of the city was completely different. Also, since I was a high school student, I was very excited, but this time, it was a feeling of nostalgia (laughs).
Chinen: If the timing is right, I want to go together again! At the beach, solely having fun without care!
Yamada: That's important in Hawaii.
Chinen: Yeah, a trip where you "do nothing". It's luxurious just thinking about it!
Yabu Kota and Nakajima Yuto
Yabu: I'm still using the refrigerator I bought years earlier. It's a small one I bought when I started living alone for the first time when I was a university student (laughs).
Nakajima: No way, is it the type with a refrigerator and freezer together?
Yabu: Nah, it's actually divided (laughs). That size is big enough, so I didn't need to worry about buying a replacement.
Nakajima: I'm not really that interested in the latest home appliances, but I do buy a replacement for my vacuum cleaners. Because the suction power is completely different.
Yabu: Eh~ mine is also a cheap and old one (laughs). On the other hand, what do I buy a replacement for… Ah! The uniform of my favourite soccer teams! The design changes with each new season, so every time I buy a new one.
Nakajima: That only looks a little different, right?
Yabu: Yeah, yeah. The design of the collar changes a little~ or a minor change like that. But for me, it's completely different! (laughs)
Nakajima: I understand that feeling. I have a camera, and the current one will have slightly different specs, but I still want it. Maybe the people around me are thinking, "What is different?"
Yabu: They would say, "We're the same!" (laughs).
Nakajima: I know it's hard to understand it when I explain, so it's frustrating~
Yabu: What about in relation to meals? I always tend to get the same meal at the same restaurant. To be specific, I will only ask for skirt steak (laughs).
Nakajima: We have been out together to eat! That is certainly delicious, so it could be addictive! Recently, I have been ordering a lot of food for delivery, but every time I look at the menu, I want to eat chanja. That's why I entered "chanja" into the menu search on the delivery site (laughs).
Yabu: Really? Did the results appear?
Nakajima: They did appear! This was amazing! Thanks to that, I'm endlessly repeating chanja (laughs).
Yabu: It's a convenient time for chanja to be delivered to your house (laughs). Then, what about place? When you go on a trip, are you the type who wants to go to the same place many times?
Nakajima: Well, I have the desire to break new ground in a variety of places, but I also want to go to one place many times and deeply seek the goodness of it. Speaking of which, I recently went to Hayama (Kanagawa prefecture) for location shooting and it was a great place! The city and the people are so elegant and refined. I thought, "I want to do my best, so I can live here someday!" I want to go even in my private time!
Yabu: If I become aware of it, I would repeat going to Spain three times. It's fun to watch soccer, the food is delicious, and the scenery in the cities is great! Speaking of scenery, I and Yuto went to a place in Tokyo where the night view was beautiful, and we were both fascinated, right?
Nakajima: We were! We went to see Yamada's movie, "The Miracles of the Namiya General Store" together. On the way back, the night view of Tokyo Bay from the parking area was so beautiful, both of us were like, "Waaah ♡" (laughs).
Yabu: Immediately after watching the movie and being touched by it, I think it felt more sentimental.
Nakajima: It was such a mood that even if romance started, it wouldn't be weird (laughs).
Yabu: We should both go again!
Nakajima: Sure! Hahaha! (laughs)
Arioka Daiki and Inoo Kei
Inoo: I am the type that repeats meals from the same menu.
Arioka: Inoo-chan is like that. When he is addicted to one thing, he will just order that for a while.
Inoo: Yeah, yeah. Especially when I was addicted to samgyeopsal for some time. Day after day was full of samgyeopsal (laughs).
Arioka: I saw it! I saw it!
Inoo: No, you didn't! I was having a meal in private (laughs)
Arioka: I secretly saw it! Because I thought, "sometimes he eats samgyetang, the balance is off"
Inoo: Liar (laughs). Dai-chan, aren't you also the type who doesn't take risks with food?
Arioka: That's basically right. But recently, I thought I would order the same gyudon that I usually do at the gyudon restaurant, but when I looked at the menu, I really wanted to eat curry! I ordered it without thinking!
Inoo: Oi! That's taking a risk! Was that choice right for you?
Arioka: It was a little too spicy for me! (laughs). I learned that I don't need to take risks when it comes to food. What about household appliances? Inoo-chan isn't the type that jumps into the latest models. After all, he still uses wired earphones.
Inoo: Wired is good! (laughs). I won't go anywhere with anything like wireless earphones anytime soon. There's no problem with sound quality, and the regular old ones are fine. But I really want the latest washing machine, and I'm looking into various ones now (laughs).
Arioka: I recently replaced my washing machine! Okay, the latest is very convenient, and the performance has evolved to a surprise.
Inoo: That's more than okay!
Arioka: Does that mean… okay? If so, that's a big okay.
Inoo: I understand, I'll buy it now (laughs). What about relationships with people? I'm the type who wants to deepen the relationships with the people I choose.
Arioka: I am the same. It is easier that way. By the way, Inoo-chan, how many people do you have a deep relationship with that you call your close friend?
Inoo: … maybe about two people.
Arioka: Well, I have three!
Inoo: Ah- actually, I have six people!
Arioka: I have seven~
Inoo: Then, I have eight~ If you count the members, it's thirteen people!
Arioka: You can't count! (laughs). Who is missing!? (laughs). And in the first place, members are different from close friends.
Inoo: Yeah. It's a very deep relationship that I can't categorise, but it's mysterious.
Arioka: Right? So don't count members as close friends! (laughs).
Inoo: I thought I could make it seem higher because there are many people~
Arioka: That's sly! (laughs). Well, how about travel? Is there a place you've been to until now that makes you think "I want to see that scenery again"?
Inoo: Personally, it's Paris. The scenery is good and there are many historical buildings, so I would spend time and explore.
Arioka: Mine would be Mt. Fuji, the place in the north I went with Inoo-chan for location shooting for a program. Do you remember?
Inoo: I remember! And you couldn't reach the summit!
Arioka: Yeah. The condition of the Jr. I went with was getting worse, so halfway up we descended. It was annoying~
Inoo: Well, let's climb it together this time and enjoy the scenery from the summit as revenge from ten years!
Arioka: That's more than okay! (laughs)
Takaki Yuya and Yaotome Hikaru
Takaki: When I buy home appliances, I don't want the latest ones.
Yaotome: Well, then what makes you decide?
Takaki: It only depends on whether or not it suits my house. When I go to the store, I generally look at the products and imagine the appliances in the room. Then I think, "This is it" and decide it pretty quickly.
Yaotome: Oh~ That's exciting!
Takaki: I don't mind if it's old or new.
Yaotome: I wonder if I'm also not the type who is too particular about the latest home appliances. Recently, the condition of my washing machine has been bad. When I notice it, it stops halfway. (laughs)
Takaki: Well, it might be better to buy a replacement (laughs).
Yaotome: Right. But it's a hassle to do various research, so I'm thinking of repeat buying the same the model I've been using until now (laughs). When it comes to relationships, I used to be a "deep and confined" type, so I only had fun with the people I chose. But recently, my acquaintances have also been increasing, and my personal connections are quickly expanding.
Takaki: By doing this job, you will gain new acquaintances. That's why when we appeared in the stage play, "Bara to Hakucho", it was fresh that we met various actors from outside our circle.
Yaotome: We're still on good terms. By valuing a new encounter, I'm happy that I can build a different kind of deep relationship with old, close friends of mine. By the way, it seemed that Dai-chan and Inoo-chan talked about this… how many people does Yuya call his close friend?
Takaki: Eh~ Maybe two people?
Yaotome: I'm the same. It seems they said, "Thirteen people!"
Takaki: That's definitely a lie (laughs).
Yaotome: Yeah, you don't need that many (laughs). Are there any other things when it comes to familiarity? For example, a place where you want to return to.
Takaki: I live in an area where I was indebted. I go there once a year, so as a result, I repeat that. What about Hikaru-kun?
Yaotome: My favourite place is somewhere in Japan. I want to go there over and over again!
Takaki: What is it that makes it so charming?
Yaotome: First of all, the food and alcohol are delicious (laughs). Also, there is an onsen and a nice ryokan. However, I think there are still many charming places in Japan that I don't know about, so I want to visit more new places.
Takaki: I get it. Actually, I wrote a memo on my phone that was a list of places I want to visit someday (laughs).
Yaotome: Eh~ What kind of points are good and Yuya-like?
Takaki: There are various things. The scenery is beautiful, and the food is delicious… well, if you roughly put it together, you can enjoy yourself!
Yaotome: Roughly! (laughs). But that's the most important thing.
Takaki: Where is Hikaru-kun's unforgettable spot?
Yaotome: In Miyagi, there is a marsh where the colour of the water changes depending on the weather called Goshikinuma. When I went as a child, I was moved, so I want to see it again with my current sensitivity.
Takaki: There might be a different feeling. A while back, when I went to France with Chinen for the planning of a TV program, I flew as a paraglider from the top of the mountain. But I was so scared, I kept my eyes shut. Even though I was in nature, I couldn't enjoy the scenery once (laughs). So I would like to challenge that again now!
Yaotome: If you did it now, would you see the scenery?
Takaki: I would! I would! Maybe… (laughs)
Yaotome: It seems impossible (laughs).
