Seriously. The trilogy definitely went downhill with each book. The first one was fine, the second was a rehash of the first, and the third was a mess from start to finish. It felt badly plotted and when the plot is bad/uneven/not thought out, everything else suffers too.

This. Everything I'd loved about the first was just gone by the third book. A lot of angst for the sake of angst.

I agree with all this. I read a review from a friend who liked it and said it was a good portrayal of the effects of PTSD but I just found it all over the place. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way.
