Still playing around with that ink... Does anybody know of any how-to books on ink drawing, or tutorials on the internet? I'm sort of fumbling around in the dark, and though that is enjoyable, because the results are rather surprising, it would be nice to have some guidance! :)

Anyway -

Thank you! :) Well you may know at least the eyebrow-raising one (points to icon)! The other, I'm not sure who he is, unless he is a younger version (and insecure.. or cold.. What are his shoulders doing up around his ears??)

I don't know of any tutorials, folks at Epilogue forums might help you with it. But I know someone who knows how to paint with ink - paperflower - maybe ask her? She did nice Silmarillion inspired illustration in ink:

BTW, I'll be updating RotN gallery in the second part of October, right after I'll be back home (I'm leaving to another city for two weeks). Just informing you, for I asked you about participation so long time ago.

Thanks for the link to Paperflower's lj. :) I'll go ask her if she knows any good sites or books. And I have been considering making an account on epilogue as well, it seems you can get some great help there.

And yay, on the RoTN gallery. So the comic made it through?

Which comic? Yours or mine? My memory doesn't work well, it must be because those Vanyarin genes ;P

Epilogue is very good place to learn and a lot people does traditional art there.

Check out Paperflower's hand made books if they're not under flock - she did some great book binding, I especially like her art book with illustrations inspired by JRRT's works.
