Finally posting day is here! :D This is my first time doing art for the spn_j2_bigbang and I've had a lot of fun with janie-tangerine's awesome western AU: The two faces of vengeance. So many excuses for painting cowboy hats and horses.

Oh thank you so much! They were all a lot of fun to do, but especially the horses and the gun was new territory illustration wise, so I'm glad you like them!

These are all beautiful, but I really like the motion in the second picture-especially the mud splatters and the tail. The one with the gun is really lovely, too-it's just got an atmosphere around it (still, quiet-but with a lot of potential energy).

Thank you. I'm really happy with the movement in the second picture too, it's always hard to capture. And I love that the gun one tells you a story, even though it is very quiet and still. Thanks!

So I don't even watch SPN but these are GLORIOUS. I love the way you've contrasted scenes of motion with a real sense of stillness through the washes and then the sharper details. There's something really evocative of Westerns about that - makes me think of dirt stirring up and people emmerging from it.

Thank you! I'm glad you can still get something from them even though you don't know SPN (to be fair it is completely AU, so anyone should be able to walk in here ;)). Also really freaking happy that you get a sense of Western from these. :)
