That's it! I have sent the drawing for the 7in7 project. :-) What a great process this was.. I look forward to seeing the compilation - the 7 first days of July will fly by! Here are the two final drawings:
Yes stuff added - thank you for your ideas, it made the drawings better! And I know :-) I like the first one very much too! And it is so strange because it really wasn't a whole idea to begin with - first I just wanted to draw Celegorm hunting, then the twins wanted to be drawn as well, and they were in so high spirits and wanted to tease Celegorm and stay out in the forest and play all night! Which then made Celegorm very annoyed... Plus the background turned out really well. Mostly it is a complete picture..
I think what "lacks" in the other one is more background like buildings, but I am not comfortable with drawing that yet, and I didn't want something that wasn't well drawn to take attention away from Feanor and Fingolfin They were already hard for me, because of all the action taking place.
Iam not complicated backgrounds fan.,either.First - I would probably blew perspective, second -as you say too complicated background would take focus from them. There shading only comes handy, I believe that's easier in PC than with a pencil. Background doesn't' have to be detailed anyway, eye and mind will retell what lines don't show :)
With the forest pic - that's the way it works, you want to draw a hunting scene and end up with kids on a tree :D Muses have lives of their own XD
Yes it will be some great days! Thank you for your kind words - I'm so excited to have time to draw again, and I can already feel that it is getting easier for me (I have been away from drawing a couple of years bcs of studying, but I just handed in my master thesis a month ago, so now I'm free! :)) I really want to draw Beleg, but he has been a favourite of mine for sooo long, ever since I read the Silmarillion the first time, so I'm a bit hesitant - he has to be just right! :)
I submitted a poem about Maglor to 7 in 7 :) I'm really curious and excited about the entire project.
It's great that you've gotten back to drawing :D Congrats! and keep up the awesome work. As for Beleg, I'd love to draw him too, but the only thing I can portray properly is a horse, lol, and I'm not going to make my fav Doriath warden a centaur ;)
Hahaha, Beleg the centaur! No that wouldn't be right... :)I'm sure I will find my way to how he looks one day - all I have right now, is a feeling that he is to die for! I'm glad to have met you too! And to have found a story where he lives!!!!!! Yay!
