Been meaning to do this picspam for ages. With some slightly positive news on the strike front, this is probably as good a time as any to finally post this.
Almost every episode of Life that I've watched (and I've watched... all), there's at least one striking visual that makes me pause, rewind, and screencap the shot. The second part of Dig A

Oh my god, Damian. I've been rewatching Band of Brothers and Much Ado About Nothing during my Life withdrawals. HOW IS HE SO GREAT? HOW?

I HAVE NO IDEA! He just EXUDES AWESOME. EVEN PLAYING A HORRIBLY VAIN ARSE LIKE BENEDICK! *faint* (Which reminds me, I also need to re-marathon Band of Brothers...)

I usually don't fancy redheads, but Damian (and Toby Stephens! and ok Simon Woods) made me change my tune pretty quick.
Band of Brothers is just achingly good, more so every time I watch it. And as much as I freaking love Damian and Winters (which is a LOT), my favorite episode is actually "Bastogne," the one about the Battle of the Bulge and the Cajun medic who spends the whole winter traipsing around on the surface in the bitter cold while everyone else was huddled up together in foxholes. And "Why We Fight," even though it's really hard to watch.

HEE! Dude, perfectly understandable. That was the first DL thing that I'd watched since Band of Brothers, and my first reaction was, "OhmyGAWD, time has not been good to him!" Then of course, he totally proved me wrong in the pilot for Life... *hangs head in shame*
Oh, yes, he really does disappear into the role of Benedick so thoroughly, it's BRILLIANT. For that matter, I look at Charlie Crews, and I look at Major Winters, and I see two completely different men, even if the bland, nondescript (and so-close-to-perfect) American accent is still there. Damian Lewis is just AWESOME.
Oh, yeah, "Bastogne", as well as the other one about the Battle of the Bulge, "The Breaking Point" (with Easy Company's search for a new company leader to replace Winters), are two of my favourites, as much as I love DL and Winters too. "Achingly good" is certainly a fitting term to use... "Why We Fight" is definitely hard to watch, but so good simply because of that too.

There's a very Kill Bill vibe to just how fake these greenscreens are.
You mean, I wasn't the only one who thought this? Awesome!
