It had been a long week and, for Terry, one with little sleep. He hadn't been able to find out what killed Winky yet and the only good news was that it hadn't killed again. It was only a matter of time, though, and he hoped that he would find it before time ran out. Part of him said that he shouldn't be sitting, poking at what little food they ( Read more... )

Lisa was late, but that wasn't really a surprise. she'd reverted to old tendencies since her conversation with Hermione, spending most of the day alone with herself and her thoughts. She knew that, considering, that wasn't a very good place for her to be, but the thought of wandering the halls as if she had nothing else to do all day didn't really appeal to her. And, even if her thoughts had the large possibility of eventually driving her insane, it was better than nothing.

Lisa headed instantly for the old Ravenclaw table, a habit she hadn't yet been able to break, and found herself sitting in front of Terry as he picked at his food before she could list the many reasons for why she shouldn't. Maybe she was already insane.

"Feeling antisocial today, or is company alright?"

The fact that someone was actually sitting in front of him escaped Terry, though he knew that he should always be paying attention. It was hard when sidetracked with sleepiness, though. At the voice, he looked up and stared at the girl in front of him. He didn't even have to see a mark or a cuff to pick out that she was a runaway. The attempts to hide it were there.

"Company is fine," he told her, trying to put a name to a face. There weren't a lot of people here, he knew, so names shouldn't have been a problem. Still, he was relatively bad at it.

He dropped his eyes back down to his plate, trying to think of her name. "How are you?" he asked. Conversation would be good no matter if he knew her or not.

A corner of her mouth lifted slightly when she saw his surprise at her presence. It disappeared as quickly as it appeared, though, and she thought about how to answer his question. "I actually left my room. I'd say I'm doing fantastic. You?"

The fact that he had found another person that liked to keep to their rooms had Terry smiling, but only a little. It was almost sad the way that people were slaves and stuck to one room, yet that's the only place they wanted to be when they were free: one single room. "I'll let you know when I actually eat something. Other than that, I don't know yet."
